A photography post on the blog after long. Everyone who knows me, is aware that I am a shutterbug. I have done photowalks, posted some blogposts about my cameras and I do love printing, framing and putting my pictures on the wall.

I have been using Sony Alpha A7s II for a long time now and it is my go to camera. It is always in my bag and produces very good quality pictures. I have, however, been a Canon shooter and a big fan of 5D series. So I pre-ordered my 5D Mark IV and received it in September 2016. Due to professional commitments, I’ve had little chance to use this camera which until recently, has changed and I now spend more time exploring its functions and performance.
Using this camera was a delight and I can safely say that 5D Mark IV is a very capable camera and a worthy successor to 5D Mark III. 5D Mark IV is an improvement in almost every respect, which makes it a fantastic upgrade from my 5D Mark III.
Canon 5D Mark IV appeals to me because it is a camera that can do just about anything. You can shoot sports because its Auto Focus is so reliable. The new sensor on the camera creates great pictures even in low light. Its superb image quality and camera controls ensure that you have a tool that can empower you to create great art.
Two features that make 5D Mark IV a modern camera are Wi-Fi and touchscreen. These features are present in other cameras all this while, I know; and Canon might be a bit late in adding these two features to the 5D series but I’m glad they did. I think the quality of touchscreen on this camera is pretty good, no complaints.
I don’t use these (SLR) cameras for videos so much, therefore I won’t comment about that. I am however, aware that there is absolutely no issue with video quality as long as you are shooting Full HD.
My overall verdict – Canon’s cameras are robust and reliable, you can depend on them to make great pictures and 5D Mark IV is a great testimony to that!
